Ardsley Station serves what it calls Southern comfort, refined with a modern twist, and says it partners with local farmers and vendors. The patio has a retractable roof, a fire pit and TVs for game days. Savannah Magazine readers voted it best Appetizers in 2026, tied for best Happy Hour, and named it runner-up for Business Lunch.
Savannah Bars: Starland District
Bull Street south of the park, where a lot of the newer cooking is. Starland Yard is a food park with three kitchens and rotating trucks. The area has turned over fast: Back in the Day Bakery, Starland Cafe and Squirrel's Pizza have all closed, and new rooms took each space.
Andrew and Sophie Brochu opened this room with partners Georgia and Dave Baker and Jessica Kimbrough. Andrew came back to the Southeast after more than a decade running Chicago kitchens, and Sophie is a Savannah native who came home after 13 years away ... the two met working in a Chicago restaurant. The site says the place is modeled on the family gatherings Andrew grew up with. Savannah Magazine readers named it best Oysters and runner-up for Fried Chicken in 2026. Walk-ins are welcome and it opens every day at 5.
Garden Square opened in November 2025 behind 2400 Bull, reached through a courtyard off 40th Street. Savannah Magazine credits owners Jake Grier and David Winer and bar manager Natasha Conyers, and describes creative cocktails with vegetable-forward cooking. The room has hand-painted murals inside and a planted patio outside.
Green Truck says it was founded on a simple premise: Savannahians deserve a casual place to eat and drink well. The kitchen makes its own ketchup, pimento cheese, salad dressing and veggie patties, and the burgers use grass-fed beef from Hunter Cattle. It takes no reservations, no call-ahead seating and no private events. Savannah Magazine readers named it runner-up for both Burger and Salad in 2026.
Late Air describes itself as a neighborhood restaurant and wine bar on the corner of Bull and Victory. It pours a rotating list of natural wines beside seasonal menus by chef Daniel Harthausen, from small snacks to plates for sharing. The same team opened Specials Pizza nearby in September 2026. Savannah Magazine readers placed it runner-up (tie) for Wine List in 2026.
Lone Wolf describes itself as 'a neighborhood watering hole in Savannah, GA's Starland District.' It opens at 11 in the morning and pours until 1am, six days a week. Connect Savannah readers named it a finalist for best overall bar and best Starland District bar in 2022.

A 21-and-over bar on Abercorn whose kitchen runs until midnight six nights a week. It comes up in both 2026 late-night food threads; one commenter calls the burger and fries the only answer, another says to order the fried chicken and wait the half hour. Locals argue over whether it is a real dive or a clean bar dressed like one.
A neighborhood restaurant and wine bar in the Starland District. Ryan Ribeiro and Jason Restivo became partners here in September 2023 ... the site says Ryan had been one of the most loyal customers at Jason's restaurant Atlantic, which closed in 2020. Ryan, who is of Portuguese descent, chose the name, a word for the time spent lingering at the table after a meal. Savannah Magazine readers voted it best wine list in 2026.
Specials is a pizzeria and bar from the Late Air team ... Colin Breland, Madeline Ott and chef Daniel Harthausen. It opened in September 2026 on a side street off Bull, selling slices and whole pies, calzones, meatballs and a chopped salad. One of its four specialty pies is mushroom, garlic and creme fraiche.
Starland Yard is a food park with a full bar, three built-in kitchens and rotating food trucks, made for groups who cannot agree on what to eat. Pizzeria Vittoria is Kyle Jacovino's naturally leavened pizza, fermented up to 48 hours and baked in a Moretti Forni hearth oven. Uncle June's is Reid Henninger's sandwich counter and T-Rex Barbecue smokes on site. Savannah Magazine sends families here for giant Jenga on artificial turf, cornhole and, in summer, a small blow-up water slide.
Brothers Joshua and Michael Sexton opened this Irish pub on 10 October 2025 in a 1930s house that used to hold Troupial Cafe. The kitchen cooks Irish street food ... fish and chips, bangers and mash, sausage rolls, pasties and a spice bag of fried chicken, fries and vegetables tossed in a curry five-spice mix. There is a smaller room upstairs and a big backyard. The pub says it cooks without seed or vegetable oils.
The Wormhole calls itself 'your favorite neighborhood dive and music venue', a casual place 'with an artistic flair and charm.' It says it may host 'a concert of any genre you can think of (metal, swing, country, punk, electronic, flamenco...)', plus stand up comedy and a long-running open mic that Connect Savannah readers voted the city's best in 2022.
Ukiyo bills itself as an izakaya and ramen bar, and says the name refers to Japanese urban lifestyle and culture. It is part of Anthony Debreceny's Southern Cross Hospitality, the group behind The Collins Quarter, and opened in 2022. It sits a few doors from its younger sister Fishbar. Savannah Magazine readers named it runner-up in the Japanese category in 2026.
Water Witch calls itself 'a tiki oasis in Savannah's Starland District' that 'serves up tiki cocktails with mariner myths and local lore of an ill-fated warship.' It is 21 and over.
