An inn with a dining room and a separate tavern that keeps its own hours. The inn says the tavern opens daily at 4pm and closes by 11pm, with food during kitchen hours.
A Bay Street wine bar named for its street number. The bar adds that 208 'symbolizes manifesting wealth and abundance' and then admits, 'It's also our address.' Wednesday nights are Bubbles & Blues with singer Laiken Love, and Tuesdays bring five dollar tapas toppers. Readers voted it best wine bar in Connect Savannah (2022) and in Savannah Magazine (2026).
A-J's is on the Back River, the quiet side of the island away from the ocean. Visit Tybee describes sunset views over calm water and suggests sitting on the back dock 'to really get a glimpse into island life'. It is a dinner house, closed Tuesday and Wednesday by the hours the Main Street directory posts.
A side-street bar a block off Bay Street. Eat It and Like It (14 May 2024): 'This bar's claim to fame? Art. In the form of hundreds of renditions of Abraham Lincoln drawn (by locals and tourists alike) on cocktail napkins.' The same piece says it has seating inside and out and is dog-friendly.

Driftaway has been in Sandfly since 2001, run by the husband-and-wife team of Robyn and Michele Quattlebaum. They call the cooking 'Casual Coastal Cuisine' ... fresh catch specials with some Caribbean influence ... and the motto is 'good food, good company, Savannah style'. There are patios, live music, brunch, and a private room for gatherings.
Pier 16 is a family-owned seafood restaurant that opened in September 2020, one block from the beach. Visit Tybee describes two outdoor decks and a rooftop bar looking over Tybrisa Street, with cornhole and giant Jenga. The menu runs from Georgia shrimp and fresh fish to USDA Prime steak, and the listing says it serves in biodegradable cups, straws and to-go boxes.
Sorry Charlie's says its local oysters come from its own oyster farm. The building stacks three rooms ... the oyster bar at street level, a tiki bar called The Bamboo Room, and a rooftop called The Neon Fish that looks over Ellis Square. Gibbons Hall upstairs takes private parties.
Starland Yard is a food park with a full bar, three built-in kitchens and rotating food trucks, made for groups who cannot agree on what to eat. Pizzeria Vittoria is Kyle Jacovino's naturally leavened pizza, fermented up to 48 hours and baked in a Moretti Forni hearth oven. Uncle June's is Reid Henninger's sandwich counter and T-Rex Barbecue smokes on site. Savannah Magazine sends families here for giant Jenga on artificial turf, cornhole and, in summer, a small blow-up water slide.
The Fitzroy is a dinner room just off Bay Street with a rooftop the site invites guests to sit on in the sun, and it takes private events.
Brothers Joshua and Michael Sexton opened this Irish pub on 10 October 2025 in a 1930s house that used to hold Troupial Cafe. The kitchen cooks Irish street food ... fish and chips, bangers and mash, sausage rolls, pasties and a spice bag of fried chicken, fries and vegetables tossed in a curry five-spice mix. There is a smaller room upstairs and a big backyard. The pub says it cooks without seed or vegetable oils.
Tubby's sits on River Drive in Thunderbolt, looking across at the Wilmington River where the shrimp boats dock. The kitchen is known for fried shrimp and fresh catch done grilled, fried, blackened, broiled or steamed. The week has a rhythm of its own: live music Thursday through Sunday, line dancing on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5, bingo on Wednesdays at 7. It belongs to Savannah's Live Oak Restaurant Group, which also runs Molly McGuire's on Wilmington Island.
