An inn with a dining room and a separate tavern that keeps its own hours. The inn says the tavern opens daily at 4pm and closes by 11pm, with food during kitchen hours.
A Bay Street wine bar named for its street number. The bar adds that 208 'symbolizes manifesting wealth and abundance' and then admits, 'It's also our address.' Wednesday nights are Bubbles & Blues with singer Laiken Love, and Tuesdays bring five dollar tapas toppers. Readers voted it best wine bar in Connect Savannah (2022) and in Savannah Magazine (2026).
A-J's is on the Back River, the quiet side of the island away from the ocean. Visit Tybee describes sunset views over calm water and suggests sitting on the back dock 'to really get a glimpse into island life'. It is a dinner house, closed Tuesday and Wednesday by the hours the Main Street directory posts.
A side-street bar a block off Bay Street. Eat It and Like It (14 May 2024): 'This bar's claim to fame? Art. In the form of hundreds of renditions of Abraham Lincoln drawn (by locals and tourists alike) on cocktail napkins.' The same piece says it has seating inside and out and is dog-friendly.

Andrew and Sophie Brochu opened this room with partners Georgia and Dave Baker and Jessica Kimbrough. Andrew came back to the Southeast after more than a decade running Chicago kitchens, and Sophie is a Savannah native who came home after 13 years away ... the two met working in a Chicago restaurant. The site says the place is modeled on the family gatherings Andrew grew up with. Savannah Magazine readers named it best Oysters and runner-up for Fried Chicken in 2026. Walk-ins are welcome and it opens every day at 5.
Savannah native Mike McMahon opened the Flying Fish in 2007 after years in the seafood business, aiming for local traditional flavors in a relaxed room. It sits on US 80 on the way to the beach with a patio and live music on weekends. Savannah Magazine lists it for families whose children are happy with fried shrimp, the screens and the patio.
Green Truck says it was founded on a simple premise: Savannahians deserve a casual place to eat and drink well. The kitchen makes its own ketchup, pimento cheese, salad dressing and veggie patties, and the burgers use grass-fed beef from Hunter Cattle. It takes no reservations, no call-ahead seating and no private events. Savannah Magazine readers named it runner-up for both Burger and Salad in 2026.
An islands bar and grill that describes itself as 'a local favorite tucked away from the hustle and bustle on Wilmington Island.' Visit Savannah calls it a 'laid-back neighborhood spot' with a 'family-friendly vibe.' It runs lunch specials Monday to Friday and is part of Live Oak Restaurant Group, which also owns Dub's Pub on River Street.
Starland Yard is a food park with a full bar, three built-in kitchens and rotating food trucks, made for groups who cannot agree on what to eat. Pizzeria Vittoria is Kyle Jacovino's naturally leavened pizza, fermented up to 48 hours and baked in a Moretti Forni hearth oven. Uncle June's is Reid Henninger's sandwich counter and T-Rex Barbecue smokes on site. Savannah Magazine sends families here for giant Jenga on artificial turf, cornhole and, in summer, a small blow-up water slide.
The Crab Shack is the creekside seafood yard on Chimney Creek whose motto is 'Where the Elite Eat in Their Bare Feet'. The signature order is Captain Crab's Sampler Platter ... crab legs, Georgia shrimp, mussels, crawfish, corn, sausage and potatoes. The grounds hold a gator lagoon the site says has 78 baby alligators, an aviary of rescued and adopted birds, a game room and a gift shop. Boats can tie up, parking is free, and leashed pets are welcome outside. No reservations ... the site says just show up and grab a seat.
Beach Party is the Tybee room of Savannah's Treylor Park group, opened in 2024 in the building that held the Tybee Island Social Club. Cofounder Trey Wilder lived on Tybee for four years and told tybeeisland.com he did not want to lose any of the old club's character. The renovation added a bigger deck, a longer bar, more parking and a walk-up window for people coming off the beach. The patio has a sandpit for kids, and the week includes trivia on Wednesdays and live music.
